Biden Administration Takes Action to Help Consumers Navigate Omicron

The Biden administration is taking action to expand access to free COVID-19 testing and care in light of the Omicron variant surge, according to The New York Times and Axios.

Now, every household can order four free, at-home COVID tests from COVIDtests.gov, which will ship between 7-12 days after ordering. This is part of the Biden administration’s plan to provide one billion tests for consumers.

Pharmacies have also begun distributing free, high-quality masks that are better at preventing infection from the virus.

As we enter the third year of the pandemic, CQC urges lawmakers and the administration to continue to help all consumers access free, quality testing and affordable care to control the spread of COVID-19.
