Montana Health Marketplace Opens For Enrollment

The Independent Record reports that people who lost their health insurance due to the pandemic will be able to enroll for a new plan starting on February 15.

The announcement comes after President Biden signed an executive order to re-open the federal health care exchange from February 15 to May 15.

It is estimated that roughly 11,250 Montanans enrolled in the state’s Medicaid expansion program since February 2020. In addition to having access to plans that cover essential benefits, which includes testing and treatment for COVID-19, approximately 80% of Montanans who get coverage on the exchange will be eligible to receive help in paying their premiums.

Be sure to head to https://www.healthcare.gov/ starting on 2/15/21 if you still need coverage.
