By Consumers For Quality Care, on September 11, 2019
WASHINGTON — Consumers for Quality Care (CQC), an organization dedicated to ensuring that patients – and their right to affordable, quality care – remain at the forefront of the health care debate, is pleased to announce that Allergy & Asthma Network has joined its coalition.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Allergy & Asthma Network to the CQC coalition. The Network is a tireless advocate for Americans with asthma, allergies and related conditions,” said the Honorable Donna Christensen, CQC board member, physician and former Member of Congress. “The Network works to end deaths and suffering as a result of these conditions and strives to educate and promote research to make this vision a reality. CQC is pleased to add the Network’s expertise and insights to our coalition as we continue our work to ensure quality care for Americans.”
“Through initiatives like the #HealthCareFail and Cut Consumer Costs campaigns, CQC has been shining a light on the problems faced by consumers in the health care system, encouraging policy makers to take note. We look forward to adding our voice to this coalition to continue raising awareness of the issues Americans – especially those with allergies and asthma – face and improve outcomes for all,” said Tonya Winders, President and CEO of Allergy & Asthma Network.
Allergy & Asthma Network joins CQC and 15 other groups, including First Focus and the Black Women’s Health Imperative, in advocating for the needs and rights of health care consumers.
