CQC Petition for Common Sense Insurance Reforms Garners Over 7,000 Signatures

WASHINGTON – Consumers for Quality Care delivered a petition from more than 7,000 Americans calling on members of Congress to enact common sense insurance reforms to increase access to quality, affordable care in the face of rising health care costs.

In less than two months the petition, which calls out rising deductibles, out-of-pocket-costs, junk insurance plans, and restrictions on coupons to pay for prescription drug costs, received 7,361 total signatures.

States with most signatures included: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
