Washington Health Marketplace Opens For Enrollment
By Consumers For Quality Care, on February 10, 2021
On Friday, February 15, the Washington Health Benefit Exchange will begin a new 90-day enrollment period, reports The Seattle Times.
The announcement comes after President Biden signed an executive order re-opening the federal government’s Healthcare.gov for a 90-day enrollment period starting February 15. Being one of 14 states that runs its own health insurance marketplace, Washington took similar action.
In a time when people are in particular need of health insurance during a global health crisis, Washington’s announcement is welcomed:
“By aligning with the federal initiative, we can help more Washingtonians secure health coverage and gain peace of mind while avoiding customer confusion with the larger national outreach effort,” said Michael Marchand, the state exchange’s chief marketing officer.
You can select your plan through Washington’s exchange website, WAhealthplanfinder.org, or by calling 1-855-923-4633.
